Physicial referral in conjunction with
Suburban Pediatrics
- Venus Fitness and Suburban Pediatrics have teamed up to help kids who have become “insulin resistant”.
- What IS insulin resistance? It is a condition characterized by weight gain, increase in cholesterol, blood sugar, and other blood markers. It is also called “pre-diabetes”.
- The clinical experts at Suburban Pediatrics will monitor all clinical and physical aspects of your daughter as a patient in one of their 3 offices.
- Venus supports this journey with exercise, health coaching for girls and their parents.
What do I do? What can I expect?
Girls are evaluated by their pediatrician and referred to Venus for a movement assessment. This involves a few basic tests to determine how your daughter relates to her body in space.
After a minimum of 4 half hour one-on-one sessions with a personal trainer, and your daughter is “released” from private training, she can begin group training (minimum needed for group training is 4 girls/maximum is 8)
How much does all this cost?
Half hour one-on-one sessions are $45/hour or $180 per month for a minimum of 4 per month. Group training is $25 per class (providing the minimum is met) PLUS web support.
